Children’s Services Weekly is a free weekly electronic newspaper edited by Chris Waterman published first thing every Friday morning. It is sent by email to anyone requesting this service, free of charge, and the latest issue is available on this website. Children’s Services Weekly brings you a series of brief news reports. Its main focus is on local authority children’s services including child protection, the youth service, youth aspects of health and criminal justice and the central government institutions that work with them. It carries news from all parts of the UK. Children’s Services Weekly reports on the publication of major reports and policy documents, such as White Papers and Bills. It covers policy statements, conferences and a wide range of news stories. There are regular sections covering documents published during the previous week, the contents of academic journals and media coverage of children’s services. |
