We publish two free weekly electronic newspapers, sent by email in the early hours of Friday morning and available on this site, as Word or PDF files, later on Friday mornings. Children’s Services Weekly covers the work of local authority children’s services departments and those who work with children and young people in health, criminal justice and the youth service. Education covers schools, colleges and universities.

We publish two print magazines. Education Journal is a monthly for professionals in children’s services and learning at every stage. It has the most experienced group of education journalists of any publication in the country. You can find details on the Education Journal part of this website. The magazine covers every stage of education, children’s services and training, giving in-depth analysis, research reports, features by leading educationalists, a substantial reference section and reports on parliamentary activity from throughout the UK.

Literacy Today is a quarterly magazine that we produce in association with the National Literacy Trust which at one time owned the title. It has a cross-sectoral approach to literacy throughout the English speaking world. It includes articles on literacy policy, research and practice with reference and parliamentary sections. It carries reports in every issue from Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the USA.

Our Government and Parliamentary Monitoring Service publishes a range of reports on a weekly and monthly basis, available in print, by email and on-line. It produces reports of all debates on education, children’s services and training from all the parliamentary institutions of the UK – there were 667 of them in 2008. It reports on a range of other government and parliamentary activity and includes reviews of all relevant select committee reports from Westminster, White and Green Papers and other major reports.

This will take you to an area where you can find information about our three monitors, their weekly and monthly reports, cumulative indexes and, for subscribers, a password-protected area containing the current and previous issues. The three publications are Children’s Services Parliamentary Monitor, Education Parliamentary Monitor and Education and Training Parliamentary Monitor.

We are publishers for the National Union of Teachers and their journal Education Review. Published twice a year, it carries contributions from leading academics, writers and practitioners and is a great CPD source.  Details of the journal, including abstracts for issues published from 2001 and a link to the NUT web site are in the Education Reviewsection of this website.

In the past we have published the magazine Management in Education for the British Education Leadership, Management and Administration Society (BELMAS) and the academic journal International Studies in Educational Administration for the Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration and Management (CCEAM). You can order back issues that we have published from this website. Abstracts for all papers published in International Studies in Educational Administration between 1998 and 2005 are also available here.
